Description
I.r. spectroscopy has been employed to study radiation destruction of polysiloxane films by Co60 γ-irradiation, the dose absorbed being up to 330 mrad. The studies have been carried out in air at room temperature. It is found that the polysiloxane films prepared by electron-beam method are resistant to γ-irradiation, i.e. even the maximum doses absorbed do not cause oxidation of the CH3 terminal groups
