Some problems raised by the operation of large nuclear turbo-generator sets. Performances and technological design of static excitation systems for large size power station turbo-generator units

Description

The static excitation system which is fed from the generator terminals is conveniently used for large size machines of present-day nuclear power stations. The rectifiers and regulators are described and their performances analyzed. The investigations carried out show the satisfactory operation of this system as far as the static stability and the dynamic behavior are concerned

Abstract (French)

Le systeme d'excitation statique, alimente a partir des bornes de l'alternateur, s'applique avantageusement aux grandes machines de centrales nucleaires actuelles. Apres avoir decrit les particularites constructives des redresseurs et du regulateur, on en analyse les performances. Les resultats d'etudes montrent l'action satisfaisante de ce systeme tant du point de vue de la stabilite statique que du comportement dynamique
