Crisis of heat transfer and its dynamics in a tube with cosinusoidal heat-evolution on the length

Description

Experimentally studied is dynamics of a heat emission crisis in round tubes with uniform and cosinusoidal distribution of a thermal flux along the length. The experiments have been performed at water pressures of 100, 140, 180 atm., mass velocities of 1.000, 1.500 and 2.000 kg/sq. cm and with a relative enthalpy at the crisis point varying from 0 to 0.5. It has been found that flux underheating up to the saturation temperature is a determining factor for the crisis formation. Pressure as well as mass velocity produce a minor influence upon the heat emission crisis formation
