Gauge invariance, anomalies and the chiral Schwinger model

  • 1. II. Institut fuer Theoretische Physik der Universitaet Hamburg, D-2000 Hamburg 50, Federal Republic of Germany

Description

After having justified the gauge invariant version of the chiral Schwinger model we perform canonical quantization via Dirac brackets. The constraints are first class, exhibiting gauge invariance. As a result we find that this is the reason for consistency of the model of Jackiw and Rajaraman. copyright 1987 Academic Press, Inc
