Analysis of particles speed and specific enthalpy distribution along radius of sprayed shot when operating with conical nozzle

Description

The effect of the conical nozzle on a distribution of specific enthalpy and particle speed along the radius of sprayed spot has been studied. The efficiency of heat and kinetic energy transfer from the gas-thermal flow to spraying particles was found. It was obtained that at the same power of the gas-thermal flow the total power of the heat flow to a substrate could be reduced twice using the conical nozzle compared to a conventional gas-thermal spray deposition with simultaneous increasing of the heat flow power of particles
