Electrochemical etching of fission fragment tracks in dielectric detectors for use in chemical experiments with transplutonium elements

Description

The using of electrochemical etching of fission fragment tracks in experiments of the chromatography of the mixture 256Md-256Fm, the quantity determination 249Bk, the uniformity and regularity distribution of the matter layers of the cyclotron targets, analysis samples and targets from 249Bk, 249Cf, 248Cm on the possible radiochemical and isotopic impurities more active on the spontaneous fission is described. By track measurements on the spontaneous fission activity of the target one can reliably determine the 252Cf contents as low as 10-3-10-4%. 10 refs.; 2 figs
