- 1. School of Nuclear Science and Technology, University of South China, Hengyang (China)
Description
As nuclear power is an important part of energy diversification strategy in our country, the importance of the nuclear power plant decommissioning is self-evident. Although the number of operating nuclear reactors is not much in China, and it is still early from normal decommissioning time for a large number of nuclear power plants, with the development of nuclear power in the future large-scale decommissioning problems of nuclear reactors will be faced inevitably. In base of literature research the process, objectives, regulation, the public receptivity, cost, waste disposal, facing difficulties and challenges, as well as other practice experience for the nuclear power plant decommissioning are analyzed.
