Several problems of freeman source worked at high temperature with heated cathode and arc discharge

Description

The vacuums in the arc chamber, the extracted region and the control positions of the Freeman source at typical gas-rates were measured. The temperature-raising distributions at the arc-chamber's wall and the oven end heated by the filament and arc discharge were obtained. The effect on discharge properties of the filament oxidation caused by micro-leakage of water vapour, and the effect of Ar+-assisted discharge on outside short circuit of the filament are discussed
