Description
A production technique has been developed to manufacture large-size sheets (10-20x1400-1500x4000-6000 mm) from the extra-low-carbon 03Kh21N21M4GB (3I35) steel. Parameters of melting, heating and sheet rolling are specified. It is found that a maximum of plasticity for the deformed metal is in the temperature range of 1100 to 1150 deg C. The metallurgical defects of steel in ingots, slabs and sheets have been investigated and classified. Suggestions are given to prevent and correct defects
