Nuclear power in Russia: state-of-the-art and outlook

Analysis of state and prospects of nuclear power development in Russia is presented. A particular attention is paid to the problems of safety of nuclear power plants under operation, their technical updating and to the role of nuclear power industry in the structure of power production in Russia. Problems of international cooperation in implementation of the program of improving safety of domestic NPPs are discussed
