Description

A set of articles addresses various issues related to some energy policy issues: development of sobriety and of renewable energies to increase decarbonization and to reach carbon neutrality. More particularly, it addresses contextual aspects (development of decarbonization and of bio-methane injection; energy sobriety with the publication of several decisions and measures by the French government regarding reduction of energy consumption, decrease of heating temperature in building, car sharing and tele-working, reduction of public lighting), perspectives for the French energy system (a risk of tension which, according to RTE, will be managed), a new tool (an arrangement to inform and to support households in the management of their gas consumption), an overview of the situation of renewable energies in France since 2021 with objectives for 2023 (in terms of levels of renewable heat production, and of renewable electricity production), renewable and recovery energies (a report outlined proven climate and economic benefits), revenues (renewable energies should yield 31 billions euros to the French State in 2022 and 2023), carbon neutrality (objectives of massification of biogas and bio-methane productions in France and in Europe), five figures to illustrate the development of the biogas sector in France, bio-methane (a discussion of the passage from potential to expectations within a context of high pace development), a map indicating various regional data which illustrate the situation of bio-methane production and injection in France, the necessary increase of flexibility in energy production, the commitment of territories in territorial planning (more particularly in energy and ecological transition with the production of renewable gases and methanization), energy valorisation (perspectives related to the use of wastes to produce energy), the high level of the added value produced by the methanization sector in France which remains in France, the European policy and initiative to accelerate bio-methane production, the objective of massification of a renewable and low-carbon gas system, the industrial challenge of production of decarbonized hydrogen in France (necessary investments, a competitive French offer), the objective of a 1 million renewable hydrogen production by the French sector by 2030 thanks to innovation (a bigger share for industry and a smaller one for mobility; to face flexibility needs for the electricity system; electrolysis as the main used process), and the first offshore project of renewable hydrogen production in the world (inaugurated by Lhyfe in Saint-Nazaire)
