Analysis of the effects of equipment ageing on the performance of plant systems
Description
For a more complete investigation of the effects of ageing on NPP safety, it is advisable to perform analyses at systems level during the design stage. The systems level approach, if also applied during plant operation, could allow for continuous evaluation of component, equipment and systems status by comparing design data with operations data. A possible general methodology and examples are presented. (author). 3 refs
