Tests of the standard model with polarized electron beams
Description
The prospects of an experimental physics program at the colliders SLC, LEP and HERA using transverse and longitudinal polarized electron beams are described. The advantages of such a program as a tool for precise tests of the Standard Model are discussed and compared to the expected results from unpolarized electrons colliding beams. It is shown that the errors of Δsin2θW=0.00035 and 0.00012 are expected respectively from the measurements of ALR and MZ in LEP when operated with polarized e-beams. (orig.)
