Advantages of using azimuthally nonsymmetric surface waves for plasma production under low pressures

  • 1. Department of Physics and Technology, Kharkyiv State University, Kharkyiv (Ukraine)

Description

The influence of the wave energy absorption near discharge walls where plasma is inhomogeneous on the properties of gas discharge maintained by nonsymmetric surface wave (SW) is studied. It is shown that the efficiency of plasma production under low pressure can be increased due to the resonance heating. The resonance heating plays an important role in the case of large azimuthal numbers
