Heat supply to chemical and food processing industry from central hot water systems (use of thermocompressors)

Description

Various versions of heat supply to two basic centres of need in the CSSR using heat extracted from nuclear power plants have been compared with each other. Hot water has to be used as the preferable heat source in the heat transport pipes. Needs of process and hot steam being also met with can be supplied by means of thermocompressors, and further use of steam supply networks is possible. The system considerations comprise secondary steam generators and, depending on both hot water output temperature and the steam parameters required by the network, thermocompressors. The different flowsheets are evaluated on the basis of energy criteria. (author)
