Experimental method for T-violating neutron spin rotation

Description

A new T-violation experiment concerning the neutron-nucleus interaction is proposed. In this experiment, the neutron spin rotates around the nuclear spin by 180 deg from the forward to backward direction during propagation through a polarized nuclear target. The rotation direction, the incident neutron spin and the nuclear spin are reversed at a suitable period. A T-violation effect is found in a change in the neutron spin-flip probability upon the reversal of the rotation direction as well as the incident neutron spin and the nuclear spin. (author)
