Measurement of ionization threshold intensities in helium using ponderomotive force accelerated electrons
Creators

Description
The results of an experimental program to study the ionization of atoms by intense laser beams are presented. New experimental results concerning the distribution of photo-electrons as a function of their energy and the dependence of electron emission on laser beam intensity for values up to 6 x 1016 W/cm2 have been obtained
