Quasiclassical theory of vibrational-rotational excitation and adsorption of molecular gas by crystalline surface

Description

The number of physical effects makes the classical treatment of gas-surface (G-S) interaction insufficient, but the traditional quantum mechanical methods are too complicated to obtain molecular gas-crystalline surface scattering amplitude (SA) in analytical form. This explains the interest to diverse variants of quasiclassical approximation (QA) in G-S interaction problems, of which the uniform QA for inelastic SA is, in the authors' minds, the most encouraging. This paper deals with this representation application to the scattering and adsorption of molecular gas by crystalline surfaces
