Mechanical of YBa2Cu3O7-x and Ca2Sr2Bi2Cu3O10-x degradation under nitrogen oxides action according to EPR data

Description

Interaction of nitrogen oxides with YBa2Cu3O7-x and Ca2Sr2Bi2Cu3O10-x was studied. It is noted, that massive high-tc superconductor material YBa2Cu3O7-x doesn't practically lose its properties during long period of time in NO atmosphere at room temperature; formation of [Cu2+NO2-] complexes, testing to the presence of Cu+ in the sample, is observed in NO + air mixture. Degradation of YBa2Cu3O7-x in NO, NO2 atmosphere begins at 473 K and proceeds above 673 K without formation of BaCuO2 and Y2BaCuO5 intermediate phases; Y2BaCuO5 phase appears in results of mechanical crushing of the massive sample Ca2Sr2Bi2Cu3O10-x samples in No, NO2 atmosphere doesn't lose its properties up to 823 K
