Hawking radiation, Unruh effect and the polarization of electrons in a storage ring

The authors relate a polarization effect of electrons in a storage ring to the so-called Unruh effect, i.e. the effect that an idealized thermometer accelerated through vacuum will register a non-zero temperature. 7 refs., 2 figs
