Coronaries CT scanning: how do i optimize my protocols
Creators
Description
The technological progress in scanner imposes a control on dosimetry and that especially since the postponement of the dose to the patient in the report became a legal requirement. The coronaries scanner needs an excellent image quality that relies on a big spatial resolution, a high temporal resolution and a short acquisition time. These technical constraints make the irradiation dose increase. However, it is possible to modify some parameters to reduce it, by adapting at the best, the examination protocol in accordance with its indication, the cardiac rhythm and the patient morphology and by using the dose modulation.
