Description
A self-similar analysis of supersonic compression of a ''screw-pinch'' plasma is carried out that generalizes earlier analysis of pure θ-pinch and Z-pinch implosions. Solutions are found for various implosion modes. It is shown that the screw-pinch plasma implosion differs qualitatively from θ-pinch and Z-pinch implosions. (author)
