A versatile counter for large-volume samples

Description
A gamma-radiation counter for large-volume samples is described that features a rotating turntable and opposed matched sodium iodide detectors. For added sensitivity and versatility, vertical adjustment of the turntable and variable detector separation have been incorporated into the design. The sensitivity and uniformity of detection allow varied applications of the counter for measuring the activity of samples from test tube size up to 1000 ml. (author)
