Collective behaviour in hydrodynamic and microscopic models

  • 1. Frankfurt Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Theoretische Physik

Description

In this talk I give an overview of theoretical calculations shedding light on collective effects in high-energy heavy-ion reactions. The identification of experimental signatures of such effects is of great importance, since compressions and some degree of local equilibration are prerequisites for the formation of exotic states of nuclear matter and, in general, the measurement of nuclear matter properties far from equilibrium.
