Enhanced radiation from a ring source surrounded by axially magnetized plasma column

Description

The study of radiation patterns of a magnetic ring source in an axially magnetized plasma column having central conductor along its axis shows the presence of well enhanced radiation peaks. The direction and number of peaks in the radiation patterns depend upon the value of applied magnetic field, plasma column diameter, diameter of central conductor and plasma density. It may be also noted tha,. stronger radiation peaks are obtained for the case of high plasma density. The radiation pattern for uniaxial plasma column has also been studied. (author)
