Description
Studied is iron (2) and (3) molybdate behaviour in reduction atmospheres of carbon oxide and hydrogen at 500-800 deg C and gaseous phase pressure from 100 torr to that of atmosphere under circulation conditions of gaseous phase with the rate of 20 l per hour. It is established that at the reduction by carbon oxide final products are Fe (or FeO) and Mo2C, and at the reduction by hydrogen -Fe3Mo2 and Mo. Hydrogen reduction is quicker and fuller than CO, but in this case the products possess pyrophorosity. At final reduction by carbon oxide black carbon is deposited due to CO decomposition. Activation energy coincidence of reduction, oxidation and solid phase synthesis of iron molybdate and diffusion of radioactive isotopes in Fe2(MoO4)3 shows the essential role of diffusion mass transfer in the processes with Fe2(MoO4)3 participation
