Dental X-ray equipment inspection program in Manitoba
Description
The dental X-ray equipment inspection program that has been in effect in Manitoba for all units since 1973 is described and the development of the survey procedure followed throughout 1978. The workloads associated with the dental units for both urban and rural facilities are presented and discussed. Data indicating the type and frequency of faults found as well as the dental X-ray exposure for the maxillary molar procedure in kVp ranges from 45 to 95 are also presented along with the corresponding dental film optical densities as obtained with one of the survey procedures.
