Description
The kinetics of the reduction of Np(VI) with humic acid is studied. The reaction rate equation is derived as follows: -d[Np(VI)]/dt K[Np(VI)][HA][H+]-1.1 with K = 59±6 (mol/l)0.1(min)-1 at 10 C, μ = 0.41 and E = 44±4 kJ/mol at μ = 0.17. The relationship between K and μ is log K = 2.2-1.1 √μ/1 + √μ. (orig.)
