Method and equipment for borination of primary coolants in a water-cooled nuclear reactor plant

Description

The concentrated boric acid is in a heated pressure storage vessel which can be connected to a primary coolant line via a heated pipeline. The boric acid contains a small amount of water which due to the temperature in the pressure storage vessel being higher than that of the primary coolant, is present in vapor form. The steam pressure presses the boric acid into the primary coolant upon opening the connecting line. (orig./PW)
