China's nuclear power policy and the present development status
Description
The China has the most important population, with as corollary a fast increasing in economic and energy needs and an ambitious programme of nuclear energy development. M. Li Dingfan gives a short description of existing nuclear installations in China, presents the programme of nuclear development at short and long terms and sums up the realizations in the fields of conception, research, tests, construction and exploitation management. He explains the importance that China gives to the technological independence and the closing of fuel cycle. (N.C.)
