An evaluation of the CT diagnosis of stomach carcinoma

Objective: It's an evaluation of the CT diagnosis of stomach carcinoma. Methods: Retrospective analysis of clinical data and CT findings were made in 42 cases with stomach carcinoma that had been proven by histological examinations. The CT findings, operation observation, endoscopic findings and barium study were comparatively analyzed. Results: Lesions and the speared or involved adjacent organs were well revealed on CT. The accuracy of CT diagnosis was 71.43%. Conclusion: Metastatic lymphadenopathy and involved organs can be demonstrated on CT, which is a valuable investigation for the managements of the stomach carcinoma, when combined with endoscopic biopsy and barium study of the GI tract
