Monte Carlo simulation of 2D flux line lattice melting
Description
An extensive Monte Carlo simulation on the melting transition of the two-dimensional flux line lattice (FLL) is presented. It is found that the melting transition is of first-order while the transition temperature is close to that estimated from elastic theory assuming the Kosterlitz-Thouless melting transition. (orig.)
