Study of optical properties of CsBr thin films

Description
A vacuum system which allows to prepare thin films, irradiate them by electrons, study the optical properties and obtain replica for electron microscope investigations is described. The F center accumulation in thin CsBr films is investigated depending on the electron irradiation time at a constant beam current density. The effect of cadmium impurity and film temperature during irradiation on the colorability of thin CsBr films is studied
