These are the main physical methods to be explored in this session though of course any new ideas will be welcomed. It could be said that for solid materials the solution is well advanced with ESR, thermoluminescence, and possibly photo-luminescence. For wet materials, the problems are much greater and it has to be admitted that there is no panacea
