Stabilization of mechanical properties and microstructure along the length of hot rolled strips
Description
The change of mechanical properties and microstructure along the length of hot rolled strips of the 08kp, 08sp,St3kp, ST3sp carbon steels has been studied. It is found that to provide stable properties along the strips it is necessary to decrease the differences between the rolling rate in the finishing stand and the reeling rate, to differentiate the water supply along the strip length depending on the temperature of its parts, to switch off the water supply on the coiling machines when reeling the coil tails
