Subcriticality measurements of the fuel-containing masses of the Sarcophagus
Description
An account is given of the methods and equipment used to measure subcriticality in the FCM of the Sarcophagus. Data are given from experiments that the authors helped to carry out in 1988-1989. It is concluded from analysis of the experimental data that values of the effective multiplication coefficients for media of the Sarcophagus investigated by the authors are in the range Keff = (0-0.7)., which is in accordance with the sensitivity of the method.
