Description
A new technology for separation of Mo from U in eluate (NH4)2CO3-(NH4)2SO4 is presented using the quaternary ammonium salt as extractant. It is developed that the expraction is carried on immediately after adding HO2 to the eluate. The eluate is obtained by eluting the loaded resin with U and Mo using eluant (NH4)2CO3-(NH4)2SO4. The resin comes from a uranium mill. The experimental results show that the efficiency of extraction for Mo is 97.9% and the U concentration in the loaded organic phase is less than 0.1g/l, when U and Mo concentrations in aqueous phase are 4-5g/l and ∼2g/1 respectively, the quaternary ammonium salt in organic phase is 0.15 mol/l, the amout of H2O2 is 0.8% (v/v), the stage for extraction is 1 and the O/A ratio is 1/4
