Magnetic moments of high spin states near backbending
Description
Measurements of magnetic moments of collective high spin states in deformed nuclei exhibiting backbending are reviewed. The various experimental methods which have been used are discussed. Definite results for 134Ce and 158Dy demonstrate the important role of rotationally aligned neutrons for the first backbending in these nuclei. The controversial small g-factor of the 20Ne(4+) state is presented in this context
