Application of geophysical methods to the prospecting for sandstone-type uranium deposits in Kongquehe monoclinal area of Tarim basin
Description
This paper analysed and studied the geophysical characteristics, such as electric and density and seismic wave impedance parameters of strata (rocks)in Kongquehe monoclinal area of Tarim basin. Based on the comprehensive estimate of application affects of geophysical method, such as ground γ-spectrometric, soil radon survey, transient electric and magnetic method and shallow seismic prospecting etc, it was believed that the study area has favorable physical-premises of manifold geophysical prospecting for sandstone-type uranium deposit. The cover strata are slightly dipped and belong to alluvial fan-fluvial facies, and bear the trace of radioactive elements concentrating, therefore the area is favourable for the metallogenesis of in-situ leachable sands tone uranium deposit.
