Description

A new superconducting mechanism--the combining mechanism of itinerant carriers and local pairs, is suggested for the alkali-doped C60 superconductor. The superconducting transition temperature, the penetration depth, the superconductive coherent length, the thermal critical field and the specific-heat jump at Tc of Rb3C60 have been calculated under this mechanism, and the results basically agree with the experiments. The reason why the alkali-doped C60 superconductor shows the more conventional superconducting behaviour has been discussed within the framework of this combining mechanism
