How are radiation and radioactivity measured?
Description
Fundamentals in radiation measurement and radioactivity determination are given. Sample treatment and actual process needed in measurement are distinctly described. Also required technical terms such as half-life, decay series, trans-uranium element, gamma spectroscopy, multichannel analyzer, Ge and Na(I) detectors, gas-flow counter, GM counter, alpha spectroscopy, dose, rate, chemical dosimetry, radiation monitoring, survey meter and so on are briefly explained.
