Stranded costs in European electricity markets
Description
This article focuses on the liability for stranded costs in the European electricity markets, which were incurred as a result of the EV Directive opening up competition in the electricity markets. The deadline for notification of stranded costs by Member States, the European Commission's guidelines concerning stranded costs, possible asset sales, calculation of stranded costs, and the question of who pays are discussed.
