240Pu half-life periods ratio

Description
Measurements of 240Pu half-life were conducted using activity standards and taking into account the presence of radionuclides produced, in order to eliminate the uncertainty in this value connected with spontaneous fission. Metrological characteristics of standards during measurements are given. As a result the half-life ratio for spontaneous fission and alpha decay was obtained, and the former, which amounted to (1.16±0.02)x1011 years, was determined
