On Ge(3), Sn(4) and Ti(4) phosphates
Description
Phosphates of cerium (3), tin (4), and titanium (4) have been synthesized and identified by chemical analysis, pH-metric titration, thermo- and derivatography, and infrared spectroscopy. Their solubility has been studied depending on pH and temperature of the solution. The solubility of phosphates rises with increasing temperature and decreasing pH. A decrease in pH down to 1.13 doubles the solubility of cerium phosphate. The heats of dissolution for CePO4 (ΔH) have been calculated: ΔH=1.65 kcal/mol
