Description
The detection system consists of a coaxial Ge(Li) detector surrounded with a NaI(Tl) detector. Other electronic devices are discussed and the entire system is described using a block diagram. The identification of some radionuclides is only possible from anticoincidence spectra. The use of Compton suppression can actually improve sensitivity in most routine cases by a factor of two to three. (M.D.). 5 figs., 1 tab
