Ar line spectroscopy for diagnostics of implosion stability
- 1. Osaka Univ., Suita (Japan). Inst. of Laser Engineering
Description
In the direct-drive scheme of inertial confinement fusion (ICF), the hot spark formation is critically affected by laser non-uniformities and subsequent hydrodynamic instabilities. Stability analyses for balanced and unbalanced laser irradiation cases are described. Time- and space-resolved x-ray spectroscopic measurements were used for diagnostics. Experimental results were compared with post-processed hydro-code simulations by the aid of x-ray spectrum analysis code. (author)
