Possible X-ray counterparts of γ-ray sources

Description
The error circles for 10 unidentified COS-B gamma-ray sources have been examined for X-ray emission. Three of these sources were found to contain known X-ray sources within their error circles: the positional uncertainty of CG135+1 contains 4U0241+61, CG312-1 contains MX1406-61 and 4U1416-62, CG327-0 contains 2S1553-542. Spectra and variability, as well as positional coincidence, are used to argue that 4U0241+61, MX1406-61 and 2S1553-542 are possible X-ray counterparts to the γ-ray sources. (author)
