Abstract (German)

The thermal behaviour of UO2 thin foils of 〈110〉, 〈001〉, and 〈111〉 orientation was observed by transmission electron microscopy using pulse beam heating. It is shown that the striations which appeared after such heat treatment represent {111} facets elongated in 〈110〉 directions. A possible relation between faceting and surface reduction of UO2 is discussed.
