Synthesis of tetraformate complexes of dimolybdenum (2) with different axial substitutes has been described. Spectral characteristics (IR, raman spectra) of Mo24+ formate with isotope-substituted formate ligands and derivatives of dimolybdenum formate with different substitutes placed axially have been discussed
