Transepiphyseal extension of tumor in pediatric osteosarcoma

Description

This paper reevaluates the incidence of tumor extent through the growth plate in patients with osteosarcoma and to determine the feasibility and accuracy of radiologic examination before surgery. The conventional radiographs and MR images of 16 patients who underwent resection for osteosarcoma of a long bone were reviewed. In each case, the results were correlated with the pathology sections and the growth plate closest to the lesion at the time of admission was studied
